Change; it can be good, bad, or indifferent. Change; it can make you happy, it can make you sad, or it can leave you feeling numb. Change is constant, change is necessary for growth. If you are not happy with the life you are living, you and only you can change it. Change can be very difficult, or it can be very easy. Changing a job is said to be one of the most stressful changes one can make, just as stressful changing your address. Changing your phone number is an easy one but then no one can find you which can be stressful, unless that was the point of changing it in the first place. This can go on forever, as I said; change is constant.
So if you’re wondering where I’m going, here it is. If you say to yourself daily, I need to start eating better, I need to start exercising, I need to lose some weight, I been tired lately (lacking energy and enthusiasm), I hate my job, I’m unhappy, my car sucks, I want to learn how to defend myself, etc, etc, etc well then it’s time to make a change. Sitting around complaining about life isn’t going to change a thing, you have to get off your ass and make it change.
First you need to set your goals, what is the change you want to make. Then you need to plan out a map of how to get to that goal. Set mini goals along the way, achievable goals that will keep you on course to your ultimate goal. Now start driving forward to that goal and do not let any roadblocks get in your way.
Start NOW, not on Monday, or the first of next month, or after a party you’re going to on Friday night because then you’ll be thinking well I can’t start on Saturday which brings you back to I’ll just start on Monday. None of this “logic” is acceptable, start NOW.
If you want to improve yourself, do it. Change the behaviors that got you where you are now to behaviors that will get you where you want to be.
Change is constant. Change is good.
