It’s not the days that pass that make us old, it’s the notion that you have to act a certain way and stop doing the things you did as a child.

Ride a bike, climb a tree, watch TV laying on the floor, make living and having fun your priority above working. Work is a necessary part of life however far too many place a level of importance on their jobs/careers that having fun, time with family and friends, self care, etc take a back seat.

From the ages of birth thru 4 we develop the basics, then we spend the next 16 to 20 years going to school to prepare for our adult life. Upon completion we work the next 40 or so years to prepare for our retirement. The goal is to have enough money to live the rest of your life financially comfortable and enjoy the “golden years”.

The problem is due to sitting at a desk, sitting in a car, physically and mentally demanding work for 40 or more years, a lack of exercise combined with a poor diet, far too many develop health issues by this point in their lives and never get the opportunity to enjoy those years.

So yes you have to go to school and work and you have to do your best to ensure financial security, you also need to do the work to ensure that you will live to enjoy all you’re working for. What’s the best way to achieve this goal? Play

Peace
